Leighanne Root Associate

Leighanne concentrates her practice in civil litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense, representing physicians, nurses, and hospitals in complex litigation. She has experience handling all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations to jury trials and mediations.

Leighanne received her J.D., with a certificate in Trial Advocacy, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During law school, she received awards for obtaining the highest grades in Legal Writing and Advocacy. She was also recognized with awards for Best Advocate and First Place Brief at the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Prior to law school, Leighanne received her B.A. in Classics from the University of Kentucky.
