Laura Wibberley practices in general litigation with a concentration in the area of medical negligence with the privilege of serving in the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. She also serves in the defense of long-term care facilities and assisted living facilities. In order to achieve early and favorable results, Laura is involved in pre-litigation investigations. She has also assisted with presentations at health care facilities designed to educate practitioners on challenges and concerns in the context of litigation.

Laura Wibberley graduated Valedictorian and summa cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in 2017. During law school, she completed a judicial externship with The Honorable Robert E. Gordon in the First District Illinois Appellate Court. Laura received the CALI Excellence Award in several areas including, Evidence and Civil Procedure. She also served on the Executive Board for both The John Marshall Law Review and the John Marshall Moot Court Honors Program. Prior to becoming an attorney, Laura assisted in multiple jury trials, arbitrations, and hearings as a senior litigation paralegal.

Laura is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, where she serves as Co-Editor-In-Chief for the YLS Blog @theBar. She regularly publishes articles focusing on legal developments in the area of Health Law. Laura is also Vice Chair for the YLS Health and Hospital Law Committee. She is also involved with Illinois Women’s Bar Association and Chicago Hospital Risk Management Society.

She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
